The Metaphysics of the Seeker
We are all seekers and every single seeker will one day be confronted with the ultimate truth. This truth is, that you as the seeker, is the false image of the ego. And when you realize this, not in a theoretical way, but when you experience it, it will greatly trouble you.
This is usually a very difficult time for the seeker. And there are many of my students at this place right now. They are being confronted by their own false image, the come face to face with the ego, and it has caused them some trouble!
Nearly everyone who wakes up, will have this experience, and when you do, it will be one of the most critical times in your life. Why? Because in that moment, -who you choose, your false image, or your true Self, that will be your awakening, moment or you’re going back to sleep moment.. This experience has probably already occurred for many seekers.
Many will continue to choose the false image, because they simply cannot let it go, for whatever reason. They may think that this is far too fearful, to finally face what they have always been running from, themselves.
It is the ego false image that will make the seeker decide to stop and pull away, because it knows that it is doomed if it continues. To do this, it will use the ego tool of rationalisation to change paths. In other words, there will be many excuses not to continue once you meet the false image. And, all those excuse will be rationalisations, and this should tell you, who is making the decision!
But, there is also many who have been waiting for this moment, and the choose to concentrate only on the truth, Why? Because they are in their personality, and the false image has no say in what they choose. the will receive support from their higher self to make this choice, because they are centred in their personality.
So, let’s see the seeker unfold in these four parables of Jesus, taken from the Gospel of Thomas.
The Gospel of Thomas (2)
The Seeker Parable
Jesus said “Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All.”
Everyone is a seeking something, even those who are not seeking, they are still seeking, it is just that it is nothing that they are seeking. Those who seek outside sleep, and they will rarely find what they seek for. And, if some chance they do find what they seek for, they will become victims of what the seek for.
Those who seek inside, will find what the seek for. And they will also become severely troubled of what they find, just like Jesus’ parable above. So, let me explain the metaphysics of the seeker and the above parable.
‘Let him who seeks continue seeking.
Here Jesus is saying that we all should continue the search until we find.
“When he finds, he will become troubled”
In Metaphysics; The Seeker is the ‘false image’ and when the ‘false image’ recognizes itself, that it is pure illusion, this has troubled very many seekers to the point that the keep the false image and then continue seeking for something else.
But there are some who will engage the false image and tear it down.
“When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All.”
However, if the seeker can now see that this false image is ego, and not their true self, they will detach from the false image, using forgiveness. And, then they will be on Level 2, and rule over All.
To rule over ALL, means that you are on level 2, and you are ruling over all of the ego, not your brothers. All the ego is both the persona and the shadow.
The Gospel of Thomas (3)
Jesus said “If those who lead you say to you ‘See, the kingdom is in the sky, then the birds in the sky will precede you. If they say to you, It is in the sea, then the fish will precede you.
Rather, the kingdom is inside you, and it is outside you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty, and it is you who are that poverty.”
“If those who lead you say to you ‘See, the kingdom is in the sky, then the birds in the sky will precede you.
In Metaphysics; If you are a follower, and your spiritual leaders tell you that the kingdom is in the clouds, the birds will precede you. This means that you are seeking with the ego, and your mind is split. Birds do not have a split mind, along with all plant life, and animal life, they all reside in Oneness on Level 2.
Humans are the only species on this planet that dwell on Level 1.
“If they say to you, ‘It is in the sea, then the fish will precede you.
Again, the seeker is seeking outside, and the again fish are at a much higher consciousness that humans.
“Rather, the kingdom is inside you, and it is outside you”.
In Metaphysics, once you discover the kingdom inside, you will see it outside. But do not look for it outside first, that will be the ego, the ego wants you to think that the true kingdom of Heaven is just above the physical clouds.
The Gospel of Thomas (8)
The Wise Fisherman Parable
And he said ‘The man is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of small fish. Among them the wise fisherman found a fine large fish. He threw all the small fish back into the sea and chose the large fish without difficulty. Whoever has ears let him hear’
“The man is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of small fish”
In Metaphysics; the wise fisherman is the seeker, and he cast his net into the world seeking answers to life and found many fragments of truth, he found the fragments of truth in Level 1.
“Among them the wise fisherman found a fine large fish”.
In Metaphysics; Among all the fragments of truth, the wise fisherman found a great large truth that was not fragmented. This truth was a truth that included everyone, unity, equality, and Oneness. The wise fisherman had found and accepted the Truth of Oneness on Level 2, and rejected the ego and separation on Level 1.
“He threw all the small fish back into the sea and chose the large fish without difficulty”’
In Metaphysics; This is Choice; He chose Oneness and God on Level 2, and detached from the ego and separation on Level 1, without any difficulty.
Whoever has ears let him hear’
In Metaphysics, this means that ‘Whoever is seeking, listen carefully to these sayings.
The Gospel of Thomas
The Foxes Parable (86)
“Jesus said “The foxes have their holes, and the birds have their nests, but the son of man has no place to rest his head”
The animals and birds of this world, rest in a peaceful mind all of the time. They are all on Level 2 consciousness, in the mind of Oneness. While the son of man, which is all of us, we are all on Level 1. We are caught between the ego right mind, and the ego wring mind, which is the persona and the shadow.
This is why the son of man has no place to rest his head, because the ego is the ultimate tormentor, with a steady stream of thoughts, which include thoughts of hate, thoughts of guilt, thoughts of fear, and many more thoughts besides
The ego on Level 1, is designed to torment you until the day you die, unless you get out. No one will have peace of mind on Level 1, or rest until they have lifted themselves up to Level 2, and into the Mind of Oneness.
The moral of these Parables is this; If you are a seeker, then prepare yourself for that moment when you come face to face with the false image that is not you. If you fail to prepare for this, then that false image could and will take you back into hell.
So, fail to prepare, then you better prepare to fail!
